As you may know there are tons of roles in Dark Shadows still available! Note: These brief character descriptions are based on the original series (from Collins Wiki). We may veer off of the storyline a bit and no doubt certain things will change such as years. Since there were so many characters on the show, I will only include main parts here.
*Angelique Bouchard: (b. 1774? - d. 1795/6?) was a servant girl from the island of Martinique. She accompanied Josette Dupres to the province of Maine in the year 1795. Through witchcraft, she caused Josette to desert her fiance Barnabas Collins, and to marry Barnabas's brother, Jeremiah Collins. Later, Angelique tricked Barnabas into marrying her. When he discovered his wife was a witch, Barnabas shot Angelique. Believing herself to be dying, she cursed him, causing him to die and rise as a vampire. Barnabas's first deed as a member of the undead was to strangle Angelique. Though perhaps physically dead, Angelique's evil spirit caused her to live on in one form or another for many years; she continued to be a thorn in the side of the Collins family.

Roger often wondered if the boy was really Burke Devlin's son, as Burke and Laura dated before their marriage. This created resentment and animosity in Roger, towards David. Roger's hate and frequent threats that David belonged in an institution, gave the boy no choice but to reciprocate his father's feelings. David often heard his parents fighting about Burke, but didn't know who he was. Laura eventually fell ill and was committed to a hospital, much to David's horror.

*Jason Mcguire: Jason McGuire was a seafaring man who came to Collinsport some time in the 1940’s. In 1949, he became close friends with a man named Paul Stoddard. Stoddard had the fortune of being married into the wealthy Collins family of Collinsport. Through Paul, Jason was able to cultivate a relationship with his wife, Elizabeth Collins Stoddard.

The first time he ever went up to Collinwood, he was scared that there'd be a spook in every corner. By 1967, Joe was the man Elizabeth Collins Stoddard wanted Carolyn to marry, despite Carolyn's uncertainty. Carolyn wanted to leave Collinwood, but was afraid to leave her mother. Joe blamed Mrs. Stoddard for Carolyn's unwillingness to marry him. He figured that Carolyn saw the results of her mother's marriage and didn't want to go through that herself.

In 1967 she discovered the vampire, Barnabas Collins. Initially, Julia represented a threat to Barnabas’ undead existence, but eventually she became one of his staunchest allies.

http://darkshadows.wikia.com/wiki/Sam_Evans*Mrs. Johnson: Mrs. Sarah Johnson was the housekeeper at Collinwood in the 1960s. She was Bil Malloy's housekeeper. After he died, she originally believed that Roger Collins was responsible for his death. The suggestion that she had been in love with Bill Malloy was bolstered by her dislike and jealousy of Elizabeth Collins Stoddard. Burke Devlin arranged for her to take the job of housekeeper at Collinwood in order to get inside information on the family. She had two children. After Malloy's death, it was suggested that she might want to live with her married daughter in Boston. Later on in the series, her son, Harry Johnson came to live at Collinwood. When Mrs. Johnson was first mentioned, she had the reputation of being an excellent cook. She made her own mayonnaise. Later on, it is established that she is not so skilled in the kitchen. She once told Willie Loomis about the legend of Naomi Collins.
*Willie Loomis: Willie Loomis was a young, unscrupulous con artist that arrived in Collinsport in 1967 to see his friend, Jason McGuire. Life changed drastically for Willie however, after coming into contact with the vampire known as Barnabas Collins. In Parallel Time he was known as William Loomis.
